Alfie Templeman Mellow Moon Tour Review

Teen from Bedfordshire - Alfie Templeman, took to stage for his performance in Yorkshire for the Mellow Moon Tour.

Alfie performed at Leeds Beckett Students Union venue alongside band mates Adam Philip on drums and bassists Jos Shepherd and Cam Owden.

At the age of 19, Templeman is a powerhouse of a musician through producing, writing and playing most instruments on the tracks. His stage presence is no different, as he engaged the audience throughout the set and energetically took control of the stage.

Playing hit tracks Movies, 3D Feelings and Candyfloss, the tour encapsulated Templeman’s groovy discography to date. Notably, he played audience favourites Everybody’s Gotta Love Somebody and Stop Thinking (About Me) and closed the show with Happiness In Liquid Form.

The evening played a host of tunes from Templeman, ranging from indie pop to alternative- with moments of synth in between. The Yorkshire crowd lively called on the band for an encore, which was thankfully received by a beaming Alfie.

The tour was opened by support L’Objectif, who are from Leeds themselves, and

well and truly pumped up the hometown audience with their rock playlist. They were joined by front man Alfie Templeman on stage before his show, which was excitedly received by both the band and the audience.

Impressively, the Alfie shows are showcasing local talent from each stop on the tour. This show featured local Leeds talent Tiny Umbrellas who sung calming tracks, ‘Tough to Be a Bug ‘ and ‘strawberries for two’ being two of the catchiest.

This night saw a growth in stage presence from the band and the preview of a unreleased track gave us a taste of what’s to come from the successfully experimental, musical mind of Alfie Templeman.
