Review: Kate Nash drops new single - ‘Change’

British singer-songwriter - Kate Nash is back with a new track ‘Change’, and has now joined a record label with musical plans in store for 2024.
Nash recently signed with label - Kill Rock Stars, after being an independent artist for 12 years.
Kill Rock Stars are an independent record label founded by American musician - Slim Moon, which formed in 1991.
She took to Instagram to announce the news of the signing and new single.
She said: “My independence has been vital to my journey as an artist, to my personal growth and also to my relationship with my fans & my core team.
“I look forward to taking everything I have learnt with me, as I step into a new musical era with a label I am proud to call my new musical home.”
The new track differs from existing tracks of her discography - but this touching, heartfelt release suits her musical abilities well.
The new tune follows the turmoil of changing relationships, it questions whether they can be fixed, worked on, or whether they should end. It recognises how relationships require effort from both parties to survive, and closes with a feeling of hopefulness and willingness to try to work through uncertainty or issues, in order to try to maintain a workable relationship.
Nash has a pivotal voice in the indie rock scene, especially with tracks ‘Kiss That Grrrl’, ‘Misery’ and ‘Wasteman’, and is a captivating act to watch live.
Hit track ‘Foundations’ off her pop culturally iconic album - ‘Made of Bricks’, still remains a popular anthem of British culture and beyond.
